A Passion for Helping Seniors Navigate Insurance with Confidence

I’ve always been passionate about helping people and making complicated things simple—but when I first entered the insurance industry in 2017, I quickly realized how underserved seniors were when it came to understanding their Medicare and life insurance options.

One of my first clients paid over $300 monthly for a Medicare Supplement plan.

She had no idea Medigap plans were shoppable, meaning she could have the same coverage at a much lower price.

After reviewing her options, I reduced her premium by more than 50% without changing a single benefit.

She was shocked. “I didn’t even know this was possible,” she told me.

But that’s the reality for so many seniors—they don’t know what they don’t know, and unfortunately, many agents or companies don’t take the time to educate them.

Another heartbreaking trend I noticed early on was seniors paying for term life insurance policies from companies like Globe Life and AARP, only to lose their coverage when they needed it the most.

I met countless seniors who had been paying into these policies for years, only to learn that:

• Their premiums kept increasing as they aged.

• Their coverage would be canceled entirely at age 75—leaving them uninsured at the most vulnerable stage.

I’ve lived in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, my entire life, and I’ve worked in service-oriented industries my whole career.

Before entering the insurance business, I worked in restaurants and retail souvenir shops, where I learned firsthand the value of honest customer service, patience, and putting people first.

That experience shaped the way I approach insurance today.

I believe in taking the time to listen, explain, and ensure my clients fully understand their options—whether we’re sitting face-to-face or speaking over the phone.
