A Passion for Helping Seniors Navigate Insurance with Confidence

I’ve always been passionate about helping people and simplifying complicated things. But when I entered the insurance industry in 2017, I quickly realized just how underserved seniors are when it comes to understanding their Medicare and life insurance options.

One of my first clients paid over $270 monthly for a Medicare Supplement plan.
She had no idea Medigap plans were shoppable—meaning she could get the same coverage for far less.

After a quick review, we reduced her premium by over 50% without changing a single benefit.

She was shocked.

“I didn’t even know this was possible,” she said.

That moment stuck with me. And the more people I met, the more I realized:

Seniors don’t know what they don’t know, and most agents don’t take the time to educate them.

Another heartbreaking pattern I noticed early on was that seniors were unknowingly paying for term life policies from companies like Globe Life and AARP, only to lose coverage when needed.

I met countless seniors who had been paying into those plans for years, only to find out:

  • Their premiums kept increasing as they aged
  • Their coverage ended at age 75, leaving them completely uninsured at their most vulnerable

In addition, I saw many seniors on fixed incomes paying more than they should for final expense insurance—often by 30% or more. In most cases, I helped them lower their monthly premiums without changing their benefit amount, giving them the same protection at a price they could afford.

That’s why I made it my mission to help seniors protect their families—by replacing overpriced or expiring policies with permanent, affordable coverage that brings peace of mind.

An Award-Winning Insurance Agent Dedicated to Seniors

Through my commitment to honest education and top-tier service, I’ve been recognized multiple times as a top agent in the insurance industry.

I’ve received several awards for excellence in helping seniors protect their health, finances, and families.

But to me, those awards represent something more meaningful—the seniors I’ve helped feel secure and confident in their coverage decisions.

Numbers or trophies don’t measure my success. It’s measured by the real people I’ve had the privilege to serve—and the peace of mind we’ve created together.

Why I Founded Palmetto Mutual

After seeing so many seniors overpay, get misled, or struggle to understand their coverage, I knew I wanted to do things differently.

I didn’t want to be just another insurance agent—I wanted to be a trusted advocate for seniors.

That’s why I founded Palmetto Mutual:

To educate seniors on their Medicare and life insurance options so they can make confident, informed decisions.
To offer a personal, people-first alternative to big call centers that treat clients like numbers.
To ensure every senior—no matter where they live—has access to affordable, reliable coverage with no hidden surprises.

My Background & Approach

Watercolor painting of Myrtle Beach at twilight featuring a glowing Ferris wheel, a wooden pier lit with lights, and gentle waves along the shoreline.

I’ve lived in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and worked in service-oriented industries my whole career.

Before entering the insurance business, I worked in restaurants and retail souvenir shops—where I learned firsthand the value of honest service, patience, and always putting people first.

That experience continues to shape the way I approach insurance today.

I believe in taking the time to listen, explain, and make sure that my clients fully understand their options—whether we’re speaking over the phone, via video, or through a step-by-step email.

When I started Palmetto Mutual, I made a clear commitment: I would never rush anyone into a decision and would always act in my clients’ best interests.

A Message From Me to You

You’re not alone if you feel overwhelmed. The system is confusing on purpose—and unfortunately, many companies take advantage of that.

At Palmetto Mutual, we believe in transparency and education. Because when you have the right information, you can make the right decision.

So whether you’re comparing Medicare plans, looking for life insurance that won’t cancel when you need it most, or just trying to make sense of your options—I’m here to help.
